Hendersonville’s 1st Annual Dog Celebration Day!


The Friends of Jackson Dog Park are excited to announce Hendersonville’s 1st Annual Dog Celebration Day, to be held at Jackson Dog Park on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

There will be a K-9 demonstration by the Police Department and canine nutrition/health lectures. The main attraction will be local shelter/rescue organizations who will bring adoptable dogs to the park.

Other activities will include a HUGE raffle with over 30 incredible prizes; the grand prize will be a bi-plane ride for two over the city of Hendersonville! Funds earned from the event will be used (along with some Henderson County Parks and Recreation funds) for improvements to the off-leash dog area (dog park) such as replacement of the shelter roof, repair of the entrance road, improvement of the access to Mud Creek, and several landscaping projects.

The dog park can be reach by taking 4th Avenue East into Jackson Park, and turning right after the first speed bump onto the gravel entrance road; the dog park is at the end of this road. Extra parking will be available. Rain date for the festival will be Saturday, November 19th.
